All things are possible through God!

Faces of Arizona

A tribute to Arizona artists and Patrons by Michel F. Sarda, Pages 196-197, Thomas Alexander Stricker

...what does TASART mean?

Thomas Alexander Stricker + ART = TASART

....who is TASART?...and what is he up to with this website???

.....Located somewhere in Arizona, I have been collecting interesting beads for well over 25 years! With a keen eye for the unusual, I have focused on Rare Beads created in Africa, by Africans.

In my travels to find the elusive Kiffa bead (also Bodom and Akoso beads); I have accumulated many other types of wonderful Bead varieties, some of which I will share with you here in the coming months.

I am listing some of the Beads from my collection for sale, please click on the links and check them out. I am always on the lookout for nice Kiffa Beads, if you have any or know of any for sale, drop me a line……If you have any questions regarding Kiffa Beads, ask away and I will attempt to answer them for you.

If you are hoping to purchase Kiffa Beads, this is not the site for you. I am offering Beads from all cultures and time periods and I will take special requests.

My information is as accurate as I believe it to be, of course there will be differing opinions and I am open for debate. I have found out that very little in the way of Bead research is truly set in stone and there is always room for correction and updating….please feel free to contact me regarding these points.

The Beads I list in the BEADS_ancient *** category include all prehistoric varieties, also Beads from Hellenistic, Roman and Migration Periods etc., pretty much any Bead manufactured prior to 1200-1400 AD. The Beads in the BEADS_antique category would be the varieties found from the 1400’s to about 50-100 years ago and the Beads I list under BEADS_modern would be contemporary Beads no older than 50 years or so. I have sub-groups such as BEADS_african, which should be very self explanatory.

No price is ever set in stone, I am a firm believer that Beads were meant to be bartered and I am very flexible on price or trade, I have my favorites and you must want them more than me to get them, I can be bribed with other Beads, just try me!!!

In the case of a trade you will send me the bead(s) for approval first, unless I decide otherwise, I have a reputation I am very proud of and I am not planning on jeopardizing it for the sake of a bead or two!!! I can cite multiple references in the Bead Collecting community who personally know me and my character, feel free to check me out.

Beads are a passion that only a True Collector can understand, if what I say confuses you, you might as well go on with your life and just enjoy the pictures, on the other hand, if what I wrote has struck a note and you can relate, I know we can be Bead Collecting Friends!!!

....If you are interested in trading beads, here are some of the Bead types I'm interested in: Kiffa, Bodom, Akoso, Rare Chevrons, German Marbles, Venetian Fancies any really cool Ancients etc. this list is endless and these are just some of the examples I like!

*** (BEADS_ ancient) is a difficult category to classify! I am going to include all bead types made prior to the Bead making revolution in Venice starting at about the end of the 12th century and going into full swing at about 1400 AD. Descriptive terms for Historical Periods include, but are not limited to: Neolithic, Mesopotamian, Sumarian, Bronze Age, Hellenistic, Roman, Phoenician, Egyptian, Sassanian, Byzantine, Pre-Seljuk Islamic, Medieval ETC.
